The Pedro tea estate or factory is situated near the town of Nuwara Eliya. It is built in 1885 and still packed with 19th-century engineering. However, due to the type of tea processed here processing only takes place at night when it’s colder, so you’re unlikely to see much action. Most of the tour is inside the factory so this is an ideal venue to visit if it is raining. All the Pedro Estate tea is sent to Colombo tea auctions where it is purchased for export by the big global tea houses and some is sold for the local market. The tour does not take long. Plan to go in the morning or afternoon.
The Victoria Park is a public park located in Nuwara Eliya is one of the nicest, and best maintained, town parks in South Asia, Originally the park was the research field of Hakgala Botanical Garden, The park was established with the planting of its first tree, an Oak. Galway's Land National Park is a small national park situated within the city limits of Nuwara Eliya in Sri Lanka. Have been declared as a wildlife sanctuary on 27 May 1938.The park was declared to conserve the montane ecosystems. It is renowned for its birdlife, including 10 Sri Lankan endemics, as well as wild boar, barking deer and other mammals.
